We obviously need a new CB that can hold down for Marquinhos. How does Renato Viega sound? From what I saw this world cup, he was pretty convincing. Always was very solid for Portugal. His transfer value is also not the craziest. If he were to come, I think he would be really great.

Looking at the profile we need, someone like Ousmane Diomande or Acheampong would make more sense than Veiga. Diomande is ideal as a pure ball playing centreback, while Acheampong gives us that plus extra versatility to help out at rightback though I don’t think we’re actually signing a CB this summer anyway
Renato is a left footed centre back. This position is already covered with Pacho, Hernandez ans Beraldo.
Playing two left footed center back is very unlikely
He is a great option and he has the link up with vitinha and neves

Why not just give Luis Enrique the time to level up Zabarnyi? Then when Marqui is ready to hang the boots, look for a CB. I still believe Zabarnyi has the potential to be a solid CB.
I mean upamecano would be the ideal candidate in my opinion but he would be very expensive
