Malacia will join United on their preseason tour of Asia and Australia, which begins on Friday. There was still time for one more training session at Carrington, where the 22-year-old was included in Ten Hag’s squad for the first time.
He participated in various drills, including one styled on Barcelona’s iconic ‘rondo.’ Malacia was one of the players on the ring’s edge, while Telles was one of the two defensive players.
The Dutchman outplayed his rival for the left back spot, repeatedly keeping the ball away from him. Malacia rolled the ball from one foot to the other before kicking it away from Telles on 2 different times.
