Why did you cut the part out when sam said it's rigged?
Egypt actually put the ball in the net three times.
The 58th Minute: Egypt scored to go 2-0 up, but VAR controversially wiped it away.
The 67th Minute: Egypt scored again to officially make it 2-0.
If VAR had not disallowed that earlier goal, Egypt would have been 3-0 up.
In stoppage time, Egypt had two consecutive penalty appeals inside Argentina's box – first when Hamdy Fathy was pulled down by Alexis Mac Allister, followed immediately by the foul on Mo Salah.
The on-field referee waved play on for both, and VAR chose not to intervene or order a review. Argentina immediately counter-attacked from that exact unpunished sequence and scored the winning goal to make it 3-2.
As a neutral, I think there was a clear double standard in that game; VAR rewound the match by 20 seconds to strip a goal away from Egypt, but refused to look back just seconds prior to evaluate a foul that cost Egypt a penalty and handed Argentina the win.
This makes me feel that FIFA refereeing is either patently corrupt or simply incompetent.
It's not the fact that they are fouls, its that the game is being re-reffed…..I don't celebrate goals anymore unless direct from a free kick
