Last time I saw someone do that was Budge Poutney when Northampton Saints beat Munster in the Heineken Cup. in 2000.

Looked like one of them took the opportunity to ask for his shirt at the end there

This is an example of a role model. We should make kids watch Mo Salah.

I was searching for him in the celebration pile and was wondering where he went. What an all around great guy.

In a world of Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe fans, I am glad we got Salah.
I am not going to be able to get over next season starting without him for a while.

He wears that armband well. Nobody would’ve faulted him for getting caught up in the moment, but he holds himself to a higher standard.
God, I wish he was still our player. He should be wearing red for club and country.

Always class with Mo. When you are so close to glory and can taste it, you get familiar with the other side. Those 2 UCL loses to Real will forever kill me but man it gives you feelings. We will forever miss you Mo.

Man, as an Aussie Liverpool supporter this was such a weird watch.

Itβs amazing gesture, your country has won first knockout game ever and there were so many emotions as you could see him crying afterwards as well, but in that heat of moment as well while his whole team ran to celebrate first β- he curbed his first instinct and congratulated opponents, what a class act of sportsmanship.
He is a brilliant footballer and legend, but not only his goals but what i loved most about him was the smile he carried always on field despite being literally hackled throughout the game. Didnβt matter the moment, even if he missed or spurred a chance he had a smile on his face, absolutely loved this about him. True #King indeed.
The fact that he isnβt talked about as one of the greatest ever to play in PL is criminal, i bet if he was European he would have been always discussed as challenger to Messi/Ronaldo, like you get with Mbappe & Halaand (they are great indeed – but Salah was no less, consistently top performer for Liverpool for so long).
