I like it for both teams. Obviously with a trade like this, the team that gets the best player, in this case, the Islanders, wins in the short term. Long term, we'll see. My question is, if NYI get a top 12 pick this year, and then they get a top 10 pick/lottery pick next year, do the Canucks get that one regardless? Or do they keep passing the pick off until the pick is 13th or lower? I know this draft is very deep supposedly, but there will be busts, and it's possible with a higher draft pick next year, the Canucks could get the kind of player they're actually looking for.
Islanders should have been sellers imo not trading another 1 for a pending ufa Horvath will ask for alot Lou will have to overpay for him.
