Trent should not be there coz he cant defend, its that simple. If Hendo was still young and a starter then Trent would have been selected. No other midfielder in that England team understands Trents weakenesses better or is willing to sacrifice his game to cover for Trent like Hendo had been cultured by Klopp to do.
England won’t win this World Cup. No imagination in midfield. Jude is a great 8. No 10 in the team. You will miss Trent. Reece is a very good player and overrated at the same time.

I’ve been USA fan since 1994. Mexico are our biggest rivals. England fans, here is something the media won’t tell you about Mexico’s supposed dominance at the Azteca: opponents since 2021 at the Azteca include El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, Jamaica, South Africa, and Honduras. England would be unbeaten an Wembley with that level of competition. Also, when Mexico plays proper teams like Colombia, Ecuador or USA, the Mexican federation insists on playing in Mexican-American cities like LA and Dallas because Mexican-Americans make 5x more in salary than Mexicans living in Mexico, so they can charge more for tickets. And, predictably, Mexico has a mediocre record in those matches. Waxing nostalgia on goals scored decades ago in a dumpy old stadium (I’ve been there) isn’t helpful in predicting England’s chances. England will be just fine.
Do not look at a national team in the same view as a club ! A manager gets into a club bringing in his philosophy and brings in players that implement that philosophy but national teams the manager has to evolve to the available pool of talent that is available for him
