Arsenal have signed midfielder Jorginho from Chelsea for £12m.
The Italy international moves to the Emirates on an 18-month deal, which includes an option for a further year.

Well ranked 4th for most minutes of game time in chelsea this season, has complete PL and European experience, has hunger for league title and is arguably one of chelsea best players the past few seasons – all for 10m guaranteed (with 2m add-ons definitely to do with winning PL / being in CL) to come on as a rotational squad player/cover: i'd say for a deadline day signing this is as good as it can get for our CM backup this season already CONSIDERING Caicedo deal wasn't possible now because of how firm Brighton's stance is in retaining him (fair play, they had every reason to)

As an Arsenal Fan, I have to say it looks like a good bit of business. With Elneny out for the long term, we needed a player of quality to come in as backup for Partey. Jorginho is exactly that, and will also get games off the bench when we need to protect a lead (as Holding currently often does).
Him coming in also opens up the opportunity to send out young players like Sambi & Patino on loans next year to get more 1st team experience and improve, whilst we also buy Declan Rice (or a similar player) next summer as our big signing and long term 1st choice.
🤮🤮🤮🤮🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮 terrible signing. I hope we never see him kick ball for us. He can rot on the bench or play europa. Next season he’ll never be used, once we sign midfielders in the summer. I already can’t wait for him to leave us!!
