Australian forward Sam Kerr has agreed to join reigning NWSL champions Gotham FC on a free transfer following the expiration of her contract with Chelsea. The move marks a return to the franchise for the 32-year-old striker, who previously played for the club between 2015 and 2017 when it was known as Sky Blue FC. Kerr leaves England after a highly successful tenure with Chelsea, where she scored 116 goals and captured five consecutive Women’s Super League titles.
