We are never going to get shot of the Lingard rumours, are we?
Thanks as ever for the roundup!
Thank you! You are amazing for doing this.
Doing the Lord’s work here, comrade. Thank you.
We’re starting to get some more solid links to players as of this and last week. Fry I think would be a smart appointment and while I don’t mention it in this post (since it doesn’t seem like it’s advanced beyond interest solidifying) we seem to have a real like of Martin Adeline, who I think could be a really smart signing.
I imagine things will start to take more form as the window has officially opened and we seem to be edging closer to appointing a DoF/sporting director who will have a bigger say and likely their own prospective players. Equally it’s been all quiet on the Mendes front, this is expected though as those signings wouldn’t have as many sources to leak from.
The biggest thing for me is the desire to retain key players and some seeming interest from them in staying. The more of the better performers we keep the better poised we are to come straight back up in my opinion, the more we lose the harder it becomes.
“There have been a number of potential Sporting Director/Director of Football candidates named”. Any idea if there are plans to change Noble’s role?
I bet lingard reps have been in contact he’s not even a league 1 level player anymore. Couldn’t do much in South Korea then championship is above his station
