I’m not, like, an expert at soccer so take this with a grain of salt, but, I always felt that you could feel the difference when Hendo was on the field vs when he was on the bench.

If you were to make the perfect Liverpool player out of all the talent we’ve had throughout the Club’s history, Henderson’s leadership qualities would be top 3, if not top. Never underrated by Liverpool fans, just not understood by other fans. During our EPL win during COVID his voice would be loudest on the pitch, calling out players not working hard enough. He strived to make the team better through nearly sheer will. Was he the most technical or skilled player we’ve ever had? No, definitely not. But he was always there to work in a team unit. I’m sure that’s why Klopp valued him so highly.
