Trabzonspor fan coming in peace from Turkey! Since our clubs share the exact same claret and blue colors, I’ve had a massive soft spot for Villa since I was a kid. To celebrate you guys smashing it and getting into Europe/UCL, I’m finally pulling the trigger and buying the new home kit.
I need some advice though. As we all know, the new drops are currently sponsorless. Rumor mill says Audi is the frontrunner to take over the shirt. Since I’ll be ordering from an international retailer, shipping to Turkey is gonna take a solid 20-25 days anyway.
So, what’s the play here? Should I hold off until the Audi sponsor is locked in and printed, or is the clean, sponsorless look the absolute elite way to go?

I would be wary of the Audi rumour. I haven’t seen anything substantive about it.
I would hope the Villa leadership will be looking on social media and trying to get a deal with a company of a similar calibre but this is exactly what you described, a rumour.
Pretty sure it’s not Audi.
IMO Audi as a sponsor wasn’t as bad as people say, car sponsor always looks nice for me (except Mazda on those Fiorentina shirt back in the day), and also better than betting sponsors.
But for this shirt, if you wanna wear it as a casual everyday shirt better go with the sponsorless, it’ll look much better that way since it has a casual shirt look more than a football kit.
But if you want to have matched shirt with the players on the pitch or wear it on a match, sponsored wasn’t a bad choice either. pick whichever you like.
I don’t think the club would have released the shirt this early if a front of shirt sponsorship deal was so close. That said; I’d buy the shirt without a sponsor if possible anyway and the fact it is this year means I picked it up day one.
I think any time you have the chance to buy your clubs kit without advertising another business, you take it. Looks great nice and clean.
I think it will be a German sponsor, but it won’t be Audi, it’ll be Aldi /j

Its not like you can get down to the villa store to print it later, so just wait
I think that the jersey looks much better without a sponsor.
