I can’t even watch his press conferences anymore. He’s negative and makes baffling decisions. Even last game benched Beto for Barry for no good reason and Barry played awfully.

I always think back to the 2014-15 Martinez Europa League run as a painful slog to comically distant locales, but maybe that’s just because we went to Krasnodar and Kiev, and finished 13th in the Prem?
I somehow forgot there was a 2017 Koeman/Allardyce run where we got grouped by Atalanta and Lyon, but also had to go to Cyprus, Croatia, and Slovakia. We finished 8th in the Prem that year!
What does that tell us? Don’t go to Kiev in the springtime if you can help it? The 2015 Kiev away lineup:

Moyes always gets a team to perform better than the sum of its parts and gets average players looking good and then he gets critisized when those average players can’t maintain that form for an entire season.
