      Full rest for him which is good but this is fucking shocking, the experience he brings is enough alone to include him

      Shocking decision he’s been solid as a rock this season for us, played a big part in the great second half of our season. Imagined he’d be in the starting lineup next to Guehi, or at least on the bench.

      Disappointed to see this, I think Maguire is at worst Englands third best CB. I can understand Guehi and Konsa over him (even if I don’t necessarily agree), but if Dan Burn or Stones or Chalobah or Colwill is getting picked ahead of him, I think that’s a poor decision.

      Quite possibly Maguires last chance at a World Cup too, which I’m sad to see him miss out, on a personal level.

      Harry is a huge asset especially if a late goal is needed and you can hoof it into the box for a knockdown or header.

      Strange he didn’t get chosen.

      There will be a point at which England are needing a goal in the 85th minute, pinging balls desperately into the box, and everyone will be thinking ‘I wish Maguire was here.’

      Absolutely guarantee it.

      Seems like an utterly bizarre decision not to include him.

      Always plays well in tournaments. Is the ultimate plan B if getting desperate for a goal, and if a game goes to penos he would be definitely be one of the five taking one because he is so good at them.

      Harry is coming off one of his best ever club seasons and is so proven at international level, particularly in tournaments. Plus takes a solid penalty as well.

      Ridiculous. Coming off the back of his best season in years probably the best English player at getting on the end of set pieces, which could be vital if England need a goal late in a game

      Their loss is our gain but it’s a disgraceful decision. Are you seriously telling me that there are 4-5 better centerbacks than Maguire? Guehi fine, but the rest, seriously? Maguire has outperformed every one of them this year. And at the international level Maguire has always performed for England. I really do feel for him, he should be one of the first people on the plane
