      Without getting into whether he should stay or not – my favourite memory is his absolutely glorious strike vs Everton – what a way to introduce yourself, as a local player too.

      I appreciate he wants to start but him not starting was an argument that worked last season when Macca and Gravenberch were untouchable.

      This season Jones has arguably been our best midfielder after Szoboszlai and absolutely should’ve started more games ahead of Macca or Gravenberch instead of Slot trying to play them through poor form.

      I know people keep saying “He wants to be a starter”. But you can’t tell me he’d be so keen to move from his boyhood club under Klopp or a different, better manager. Just like Salah wouldn’t be leaving a year early. The atmosphere around the club stinks right now.
