      Let’s not forget that Arteta started Mosquera away to City up against Doku ahead of White in a massive game. He struggled to be fair as anyone would but he’s trusted, he wasn’t used on Sunday immediately because Arteta wanted to add more attacking players but he’ll be trusted for the final and hopefully he’ll use the experience against Doku and we can protect him better (he had Madueke in front of him whereas he should get more protection from Saka)

      Girlfriend returned from an international conference yesterday. Massive Arsenal fan. We watch every game together. In the 8 or 9 days she was gone, we played Fulham, Atlético and West Ham. Football is so much more stressful without her. Glad she’s back for the last two games and the CL final.

      I’ve been really thinking about how this West Ham game will be one of the most memorable for all of us in the future. Probably top 5 most important games of Arsenal this century

      If Alonso regretted taking the Madrid job, surely he’s not going to take the Chelsea job which is basically the equivalent in terms of player power and managerial instability, not to mention an awful board. Personally think their interest is real but his camp are using it to pressure Liverpool into going for him after all

      **Our scouting, foresight and ruthlessness in our defence have genuinely won us this title(Hypothetically):**

      Ramsdale <> Raya(after a few shaky games even)

      Zinchenko <> Calafiori(after an unavailable season from Zinny)

      Ben White <> Timber(Foresaw BW had some deficiencies, got a competition after his best season at the club then)

      MLS <> Hincapie(Effectively, we realised Cala wasn’t reliable enough and saw MLS alone might not be enough in his absence, within weeks, a 50M signing)

      Kiwior <> Mosquera(Knew he was going, got a younger, higher ceiling version 2 months before he left)

      The standards here have been impeccable. Unreal.

      On the other hand, we have been a lot more reactive in the attacking department; some of it might be budgetary constraints, some of it might be that good attackers are harder to scout, some of it might be circumstances, but clearly, there are lessons from the defensive scouting that we can use to improve in the attacking department.
