TLDR the Olympic Stadium deal West Ham got was daylight robbery for the tax payer. GLA ended up sueing the law firm that gave West Ham the contract for the stadium. If West Ham get relegated the tax payer will be paying for the Stadium (we already are).

Reminder that as much as the Hammers cry about their stadium being a it ugly, they got it for ‘cents on the dollar’ cheap. Cartoonish bargain.
I got bored and looked up Arsenal’s accounts. For an older, smaller stadium built years prior, we’re recognising £6.3m of depreciation on it a year. West Ham are paying but a fraction for it.
