  1. Seriously… in retrospect, sending him out on loan to that club was an AWFUL idea. I feel like mentally, he may be really down.

What a failure in decision making and handling this has been… Madueke is such a pointless signing, imagine the minutes Nwaneri would’ve gotten if we didn’t sign Madueke and played him at RW instead…

  3. Maybe his family will know better in future to push for the move! He himself wanted to stay!

Jury is still very much out on whether Arteta can handle youngsters. Giving debuts is one thing. Helping them through the entire transition process from junior to senior level is what really counts. He still has to show he can do that imo.

  5. Spent £50m on Madueke instead of a back up 6 Arteta would trust and now we’re worse off in both positions

  6. He was a better back-up for Saka last season than Madueke is this season and i don’t care I’m gonna be downvoted to hell.

  7. Two months ago, when I pointed out he wasnt playing and that nothing good can come out of this (even more so with de Zerbi gone), people here banished me for being pessimistic.

I really hope it will at least forge him to be tougher as I can not see anything else gained from this loan, other than salary offload

  8. At this point surely it would be better for the clubs to cancel the loan by mutual agreement.

It was naive to send him on loan with so many games still to play especially knowing how Arsenal tend to suffer injuries which is exactly what has happened again.

  10. Am i losing my mind or what. Why is everyone agreeing with the narrative over this? Surely a fucking 7 sec cropped in video is not enough context ??

Like they are i guess doing rondos and the ball wasn’t passed to him, so how can this be interpreted or to judge Nwaneri being lazy or whatever the fuck it is that is being peddled?

  11. I really don’t want it to be the case, but I’m getting a David Bentley vibe and it’s unwelcome. I hope it works for him somehow.

Should of kept him man. Don’t even think it’s hindsight since we knew Merino and Dowman were out and Saka and Odegaard were having constant issues.

It’s brutal to watch someone’s career stall like that. That loan move really did a number on his confidence, and you can see the toll it’s taken just from his expression. Hope he finds a way to bounce back somewhere.
