it’s crazy how we went from ake and akanji to guehi, gvardiol, dias and khusanov in one season
it also helps that this is the fastest backline we’ve ever had in Pep’s time here, what with khusa and nunes’ raw speed, as well as guehi and o’reilly both being faster than pretty much all our previous CBs and LBs. it’s been really nice having this much confidence in the defence and not needing to worry about every single ball behind. it’s beautiful to watch

A lot of those clean sheets are also down to roll of the dice type of luck, while I agree the defence is better, there have been some crazy misses and saves. We could have beat Burnley 10-0 but also lost 1-2.
Counters still carve us open when we’re too high up the pitch, this is why I don’t see us winning all of the remaining matches and still think Arse is going to win it with their easier remaining fixtures.

As a sidenote, I will also say that people have overrated the arsenal defence as they have barely conceded less than us
