    **From the article:**

**Trabzonspor’s president has confirmed his club would like to sign Andre Onana on a permanent transfer from Manchester United this summer.** Onana has spent the season on loan in Turkey with Trabzonspor.

Onana has started every league game for Trabzonspor this season, playing a crucial role in their hunt for the Turkish title, and his performances have earned rave reviews from the local Turkish press.

The Cameroon international received further plaudits this week when he saved three penalties during a shootout in the quarter-finals of the Turkish Cup. After that game, Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan was asked about Onana’s future, and he admitted he wanted him to stay.

**Speaking to NTV Spor, he said: “Onana’s career is already established. We like him. I’ve said this before. He has a certain plan for his career. If the conditions are right, we want him to stay. The final decision will be Onana’s.”**

**Trabzonspor could offer Onana lower wages this summer but still pay him the wage he received at United, due to Turkey’s advantageous tax rules for professional players in the top-flight.**

**United will look to offload Onana on a permanent transfer and recoup what they can** of the £47.2million they paid to sign the goalkeeper from Inter Milan in the summer of 2023.

Lammens has earned first-choice status during his debut United campaign. Altay Bayindir has served as No.2, but the 28-year-old could leave the club this summer in search of regular game time as a No.1 stopper.

**Radek Vitek is an option to replace Bayindir as the second-choice goalkeeper at United, but the talented Czech stopper wants to play consistently** after a successful loan with Bristol City in the Championship.

Onana’s contract at United is set to expire in the summer of 2028.

  2. Huge credit to Trabzonspor. They’re getting a ” world-class ” penalty specialist, and we’re getting our sanity back. Truly a win-win for everyone involved.

take him for free. In fact we’ll buy out his remaining wage. Just get him the fuck away

Cheers Trabzonpor’s President. My perpetually crying niece is now jumping for joy

  5. I personally think the bigger news is Radek Vitek wouldn’t want to be our second goalkeeper, he wants to play consistently, more game time that second goalkeepers don’t get.

Just send over the wrapper from that sandwich you bought from Tesco last week and hes all yours

  7. “10 million is the fee.”

“Well, it’s pricey but we will pay it.”

“nonononono we are supposed to pay *you*”

I’d like a statue of Trabzonspor’s president outside Old Trafford and whenever we move into the new stadium I’d like an entire stand named after him.

I know we haven’t won the league this year but this feels parade worthy.

It’ll be a shame to see him go but I think it’d be tough to compete with them. Such a great player leaving us. We could really have done with him as a shot stopper but oh well.

That summer, we signed Onana and he’s hopefully on his way out now, Hojlund who has been on loan all season and will be gone this summer, Mount who has played one 90 min game in three years and Bayindir who has been dreadful and will hopefully be gone. Don’t forget we also gave Rashford his bumper contract and he has spent the last 18 months on loan at other clubs, and Luke Shaw got a four year deal and has missed almost two seasons worth of games (but was fit enough for the Euros final).

Safe to say that the summer of 2023 may have been our worst for transfer/contract business ever!

  14. Well he’s only got 2 years left on his contract with us, so if we can get anything above 15m that would be great, though personally I’d just get him off for any money as he clearly has no future with the club lol.
