This would be surprising but great if true & comes off. (Had we had competent leadership at the time they prepp’ed to remove Ange, he could have been coming to join his current manager too. Ah well.)

Surely this means VDV has already sorted out a transfer somewhere? Like senesi is pretty hot right now, has multiple options, this is THE move of his career probably, I doubt he’d jeopardize it with even an ounce of opportunity of being someone’s understudy
If it happens that’s a great signing, his passing is excellent

This shows how much the club is still a draw to really good players when we’ve been struggling all year and still are favourites to get relegated.
It’s why I don’t think we’ll have much trouble bringing in good players next season if we are in the Championship. Especially if, and it’s a big if, De Zerbi is still here.

As for Senesi 🤷🏼 I literally cannot think of Spurs’ future beyond the next game.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re following up on the Gallagher signing by making Senesi one of the highest paid players at the club. £150k a week would triple his current £50k a week contract at Bournemouth, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we go as high as £175-180k to keep Liverpool away.
Whether breaking the wage structure strategically actually benefits the club over the long term, or we end up following the “pay everyone more money, and the club will magically become successful” playbook that served United so poorly remains to be seen.
