Just because he messed up once in the first leg, I start seeing hate comments that say “Upamaguire”. He has been a pivotal figure leading Bayern’s defense, saving them from a dominant psg side and he is fast. I seriously don’t understand the hate towards him.
Our Libero Dayton Upamecano….how explosive he has become with his Lucio style runs while defending physical. He has DEFINITELY became a world class center back….and Jonathan Tah has definitely stabilized the defense with his calm personality and experience. Barcelona was incredibly short sighted not fighting for Tah while he was still available….these two and our luxury third center back Minjae Kim are definitely three great defenders with different strengths and weaknesses.
I'm glad that management extended Upamecano's contract. Would have been a tragedy loosing him after all the years he was literally shaped into the great defender he is today….one of our "Fundamental" players….
While I still hope to one day see Gleidson Bremer at FC Bayern München…. Upamecano remains one of the greatest modern defenders in Europe…
