Guys, Diouf just has not gotten enough play time to get criticism some of our fans give to him. He played 227 minutes in the league this season! That’s it. He played in Coppa more and got 2 goals. Today, he made some great runs in the box, ofc he had weaknesses but he was dangerous with his runs and plays and almost provided assist twice. Also, he is just 22. Am not saying he will be starter or something but I think in some scenarios he is a great depth option and he’s shown that. I can’t say same about Luis Henrique who I would want to be sold if someone buys him this market but Diouf has shown potential to me. Luis is a liability and even though show flashes of good play.. is not suitable to our system.

Also, credit to Chivu.. we were surprised (shocked) to see him send Andy instead of Dumfries but I was pleasantly surprised with how tough he was proving to handle for Como players. I hope he grows into a great addition on the bench when we need depth.
He can be great in 4-4-2, but we need to first find his role in the team permanently.
He’s a fantastic individual football player. He has amazing qualities. Not sure what his role is tho
I really like him.
He might not be the most composed player but he always brings so much energy when needed. He is also the only one who attempts to dribble past the defenders. Plus he is very physical and can power through the opposition when he gets going.
Give him some time to grow and get to know italian football and see the impact he’ll have in the coming years.
I don’t know about that but his meme potential si godlike 🙂
Diouf can find a role in this squad. He has courage and grinta. I’d rather see an attempt at positive play versus another backwards pass to Barella from Henrique
Diouf had a rough start with bad performances, but he just arrived and had no pre season training with us (and this is a big deal, many underestimate this).
Since then I feel like we was *at least* decent every time he played. I personally really like him and his energy. This season he was clearly better than Frattesi in my eyes and really should be ahead of him in the hierarchy. Plus he has already played in many different positions for us.
His main issue is that he loses the ball too much. He runs head down (classic sign of lack of technique) towards the goal even when in dangerous positions. But he has a good work rate and puts a lot of effort, he also has athleticism, maybe is best role with us could be LWB where we saw him today.
I like his speed and explosiveness
Much rather keep him over Henrique
He’s the only player on the team that can dribble. Great depth piece to bring on late in games when defenders are tired and he can take people on. I agree OP
