So of course we need a CB with Bastoni being heavily linked to us and we will also go for a number 9.

But recently with Rashford being more out than in these three names came out as options. Considering the lack of experience, lack of an extraordinary Leao like talent, how much can we expect from them?

Do you think we should go for one of them just because they can be cheap? How much can these guys give in a Ucl semi final against a Bayern or Psg in a case when Yamal or Raphinha is out?

Although I’m leaning towards not paying the 30mil for Rashford, I’m rather not have another inexperienced and young player, even if it was just purely a back-up to Raphinha.

Looked at some recent stats of Leao and I don’t watch Serie A enough to know if there’s other underlying issues within AC Milan to blame, but he’s not in any sense looking a better bet than Rashford. I’d
actually say Rashford is looking much better.

Realistically, there’s really little to choose from if we’re looking for a quality available winger. Although what I’ve seen from Roony, I really hope we don’t let him slip through our fingers

Muñoz is Madrid so no chance In a million years.
Schjelderup is someone I really look forward to.
Virgili is good at dribbling but he’s overall not Barca level honestly.

Imo we need to get a lw that can compete with Rapha and I Don’t think any of them are ready for that other than Abde maybe. Even then I would prefer getting a guy like nusa (stats not high this season but his minutes are a bit low and for the right price he’d be a doue to psg type transfer as there really similar) or leao.

He’s not good oop but I think he’s worth the risk just by how much he offers on the ball, Worst case scenario he doesn’t work out and maybe get sold to Saudi and we get some of our money back.

  4. Real Madrid own a buyback clause and 50% of Munoz’s rights. Doubt he’s ever going to be an option.

the Rashford situation shows that squad depth at LW needs real quality not just a body to fill the spot, a cheap signing who can’t influence big games is basically dead weight when Yamal or Raphinha are unavailable

Do we not have any La Masia LW?

It’s better to have a mediocre La Masia player with potential, than a mediocre expensive Star that doesn’t make it in big games.

  7. There is worldwide dearth of world class talent in all positions.

The reasons for it are a very interesting topic for discussion, but off-topic here.

The key point is that we are looking for players who will elevate the ceiling of the team, not for more depth of equivalent quality to what we have. Let alone lower quality.

So either spend the big money on the few players that are a safe bet, if they exist at all, or don’t make any moves and give La Masia a chance.
