Rosenior disagrees with Palmer’s interview on everything changes without UCL: The reality is, does everything change? No. The plan, in terms of what this team needs and what we need to be successful, doesn’t. The context around that does. So, money, especially finances, that type of thing.”

Palmer 10 match ban incoming
So Palmer leaves without UCL?
Palmer is elite and ambitious and a year without UCL hurts him physically when he wakes up in the morning.
Rosenior is an overpromoted company man and a no UCL year is an “oh shucks” moment for him.
Waffle waffle
Ah man, I’m really worried where all this is heading. We could be in for ab absolute shocking summer.
Man fuck this guy, what do you want our players to play?
Rosenior suspends Palmer for two games to assert authority.
This moron needs to learn when to shut up. Not everything requires your opinion. Focus on doing better as a manager/coach.
I can’t tolerate this guy being associated with my club. Absolute imposter. Our owners were high af during the appointment, needs looking into.
Losenior.
Mate we are 7 points behind the last CL spot, the fact that we’re still in 6th is genuinely mind-blowing. Maybe focus on at least salvaging a place in EL than this non-stop waffling and LinkedIn talk
Oh sweet LinkedIn Liam. He meant everything changes …for him
Losing £100m and the pull of CL does change everything.
Wow. So many of our fans are against Palmer now. Crazy, considering how everyone was juggling his balls in their mouths just a few months ago. Name one single player whose form hasn’t dropped or is still consistently performing and dropping a 7/10 or an 8/10 every match. This club is fucked at this moment – on all fronts
He should be losing sleep over the fact that a club as big as Chelsea won’t get Ucl next season but he doesn’t see it as a big deal, terrible mentality, can’t believe we hired this guy.
Of course it changes.
Some players, like Palmer, might take a view they are better off elsewhere and, notwithstanding the long contracts, if a player wants to go, they’ll go. Enzo won’t be here next season in all likelihood and I suspect Cucu may be off too. Palmer, who knows.
Secondly, players of the required quality to improve the team are unlikely to want to join so the world class goalkeeper, centre-back and striker that is required will not be signed. It will be even more players with “potential” and that won’t win you anything. Even when United had the Class of ‘93 they were signing experienced players of the highest level.
Thirdly, the loss of income means that the money just won’t be there so even if it’s decided that Rosenior is not the right man then no elite manager is going to want the gig.
This is the future – a period in the “wilderness” suffered by Liverpool for decades, Arsenal and, most recently, United following Fergie’s retirement.
Oh, and if those fans doing their performative marches from a pub they were at anyway to a ground they were going to anyway think that it will influence the owners in any way at all they are deluded.
We are where we are, better get used to the new reality.
Shit rosenior downplays the effect of no UCL.
No surprises there
I can see what his trying to say but do feel like not getting ucl does change on what us getting what we really need cause we wont be able to attract the players we actually need.
This is exactly the problem. No one’s in the same boat
I would also like to say palmer is most likely going to go to the World Cup , and he’s going to see dudes like Eze , Mount and Foden earning double , possibly even triple what he does , playing in CL football ; I’m sure he’s liked his time at Chelsea but there’s going to come a point where he asks why he’s here , playing for below his market wage , and not competing like they told him we would be 3 years down the line since we signed him
Imagine telling ambitious players on your team that missing UCL doesn’t change anything.
Good luck attracting top talent with that mentality. The best players want to play UCL every season
Knew this hierarchy had no balls when, at the first sign of trouble, they sent out messages that even without UCL Rosenior’s job is safe. Lmao. Disgraceful.
Also, I think the biggest overarching issue we are missing here is that the ownership is a group of liars, crooks, and hypocrites. In Maresca’s first season, he said the ownership had laid out a plan to win some silverware that season, qualify for CL next, and “win” the PL in the third. What happened to that “plan”, boys? I thought the club was run by a collective, and a manager is not as important as the collective?
Clown.
From coaches like Mourinho, Conte, Tuchel that will do everything for a win to … whatever this guy is.. Get the fuck out of the club you fuckin looser. Bro is fine being beaten every week but we are not. GTFO dog
This shows how this manager is shit a year without UCL means standards on this team are low we gonna become a middle table team
Oh get this dude out of the club. You are the Chelsea manager, you need to be aiming for Champs League always
He’s probably looking forward to a more relaxing season. He’ll have so much more time to respect the ball and age some men.
Having an unambitious manager just feels so wrong. Are we sure this is Chelsea? Just doesn’t sound right.

Why not just give a politicians answer. Just say we’re not thinking about that we’re concentrating on best position we can for the season and that theres still 5 games left. Instead it sounds like hes not being ambitious.
If Palmer leaves I won’t hold it against him. He has no youth connection to the club and is a world class caliber player when fit and in form and should be playing CL football. If we’re not ambitious enough for it then no one can blame him for wanting to go.
The only person who benefits from Chelsea losing out on UCL is Rosenior so of course he’d say the plan doesn’t change. He’ll play less difficult teams in Europa or the Conference league and Chelsea will miss out on signing the quality players that will elevate this squad because there’s no UCL to persuade them with.
Chelsea need to go get RUBEN NEVES from Saudi Arabia, GONCALO INACIO from Sporting CP, RODRYGO from Madrid, MIKA GODTS from Ajax as a wildcard and CHRISTIAN ROMERO from Spurs if Tottenham get relegated.
