Well both players are of different styles, Osimhen would work better a traditional no.9 whereas Alvarez have kinda better technical ability and can do much more than goal scoring

  2. Bring him, he’s a perfect fit. His pressing and presence will hit like crack for this team.

  3. there is no way we are signing Osimhen, Alvarez is much more doable rn, I have a feeling that if Atletico cannot win Ucl, Julian himself is gonna ask Atletico’s board for a transfer or at least that he is open to transfer.

  4. Osimhen seems like a good transfer, but the biggest problem with a new striker will be the fans. Barcelona fans **must** understand that a new striker may need an entire season to adapt. This time it won’t be like with Lewandowski, where a player comes in and starts scoring goals on demand right away.

Especially since even Lewa himself has said in interviews that he never really played as a classic number 9 at FC Barcelona, because playing as a striker there is extremely difficult. You need to have something special, to be a traditional 9, but not quite at the same time.

That’s why the fans need to give their full support to the new striker.

imo perfect striker. i fucking hate the idea of Alvarez playing for us.

we would be saying good bye to crosses. not to mention this brother works in a 2 striker system, as a second striker. he is not a lone 9.

After much consideration I have decided that I like this thought. You may proceed and make it happen

I like Osimhen, he’s a proper No. 9 and a good threat aerially too unlike Alvarez. Also his pressing will do wonders under Flick.

But Alvarez is much more versatile, has pretty good experience in big stages (and has that clutch factor), is an incredible FK taker and his link up play is perhaps the best in the world which only gets better with his finishing.

Honestly, I am fine with either of them as long as they are within budget. I think both will thrive under Flick, but we have to buy either of them in long run and have to consider the time beyond Flick’s system. Personally, Alvarez is a better choice but the chances of him coming here are very low especially with our financial situation at the moment. So if we’re getting Osimhen in 60-70M range, I say we go all in and don’t look back again.

  8. I’m also a Napoli fan, and he would be great. I don’t know how Barca can afford him tho, I don’t think Gala is willing to sold him for less than 100 million. But yeah it would be an awesome transfer.

I love the idea of Osimhen as our 9. Like others have said, the thought of him up top with Raph and Lamine on the wings is just insane. Not to mention he’s clinical and provides an aerial threat, and he’s in his prime. It’s what we’ve been missing. Alvarez is a great player but he’s not the profile we desperately need.

Absolutely. He’s the ideal striker i would want, I would have him than Alvarez.

Osimhen is the dream signing for Barcelona, but we won’t sign him nor Alvarez.

I saw some Alvarez preferring Barca over Arsenal and other clubs news, he would like a move to Barca if there’s any, how truthful is that?

  13. I think he should be the main target, not the alternative. And that’s not even because of price. Even if he was more expensive, he’s still the better option.

Osimhen won’t be cheap either. Expect to shell oul 80m+ for him as well.
