[Evans & Pearce] – Giorgi Mamardashvili will miss at least a fortnight (could be up to 4 weeks). He’s out of hospital & recovering. It means Freddie Woodman is likely to continue against CPFC Alisson hoping to be back for Man Utd away.

    Let’s see…

Neither Alisson nor the backup keeper have managed to see out wins vs CRY since 2024.

    The 3rd goalkeeper has, however.

  2. Only a single game before Alisson is back and it’s at Anfield. The guy looked composed and capable in an away Merseyside derby. No stress as long as Alisson makes the utd game.

Remember when Kellerher had to step up and won us the Carabao Cup?

Time to become a hero, Freddie

If the picture of Giorgi’s leg going round is real then I can understand why up to 4 weeks is being said. It looks horrible.

We have a 7 point advantage over Chelsea, and our next game is at home to Palace who have nothing left to play for. Man United is the match after that. Not too concerned.

Had the (dis)pleasure of seeing it unprompted on Twitter and it’s very bad. Deep with a wide opening. He probably will have a few layers of stitches and given it’s near a joint the typical healing plan is to immobilize the joint as much as much possible during initial closure/scarring.

I doubt we see him again this season tbh unless we’re really desperate. He should rest up!

  7. You just have to laugh at this point. No more tears. 😂

Giorgi is going to be a great keeper at least

  8. On the bright side, this shite season made me rediscover my love for the guitar and books. Looking forward to reading 11/22/63 by Stephen King and East of Eden by John Steinbeck. Oh, sorry guys I just realized the bright side is just for me and does not translate well for our team

It’s crazy how many of our keepers are injured atm. Not only Alisson and Mamardashvilli but also both Jaros and Davies had their loans cut short due to injury.
