Didn’t have a great game yesterday and not really a good/great season either….and I say this as a Wirtz supporter.
He needs to toughen up a bit and certainly have a system in place that let’s him be him. The first is on him, the second clearly not.

Can’t blame and isak yesterday, everton made sure to mark them really tight and gave no space to them. Wirtz was actually getting physically bullied a bit by them.

He didn’t look good yesterday sure. In the end he is here to create chances and I know some people don’t want to accept it but he did create 4, 1 of them was pretty good. Apart from that the game was very physical and he had a hard time. I’m sure it will get better. Derbys like those are not really the games you expect a technical 10s to shine, still would be nice if he does in the future.

He’s still finding his way. But ignoring his struggles/output, he’s objectively an insanely talented footballer. I’d pay good good money to be able to watch him train in person, must be magical.

He reminds me of Coutinho season 1. A lot of finesse but not the most confident passes and shots. Great in small spaces but under hits shots and passes.
