Genuinely though this is the problem with some Arsenal fans. Many of them are quick to make rash judgements on how good their players and squad are without actually winning anything. Admittedly it’s not just the fans at fault for this because Walcott’s comments probably made a fair few of their own fans cringe and articles posted earlier on in the season comparing Chelsea’s record breaking defence with Arsenal was always going to backfire.

Also every fanbase has reactionary idiots like this, but it’s the Arsenal fans with a platform to speak who seem to be the worst of the lot for some reason, hence why everyone is in mutual agreement on their fans being worse than others, even though the average fan is no better or worse than any other fanbase.

I think the vast majority of people agree. It’s the same when they try to compare van dijk to john terry, Rio or vidic.
There is no comparison. It’s just an ex player or fan base trying to push the narrative as their team are in a good place at that time.

The fact Theo thinks that this team wouldn’t get destroyed by our 2008 team really should be the last nail in the coffin for his commentary as he can’t give a neutral look on games. Not a single one of the Arsenal squad would get in to the 08 team.
