    The fact that they lost to Real Sociedad is big, it will push away players with ambition.

    You can argue Alvarez won everything but since he is young I reckon he wants to win more trophies. And he loves Barça
    If Arsenal trashes Atleti in the champions league that would be very big as well.

      Even if he has won everything he has a lot to prove and Barca is right club for him but i am still not sure if he is right for the club

      the problem is his contract doesn’t end till he’s 30. And Atleti would rather to sell to literally anybody other than us, they paid ~80mil for him, I don’t see them taking less than 130mil, whether he wants to come to us or not and I don’t think he’s the type of player to try and disrupt training etc to force a move, he just isn’t going to do it.

      I don’t see Atleti loosing in CdR final push away players with ambition. It is still one of the best football teams in the world. Also, they are going further in CL than Barcelona.

      I don’t think Arsenal can win Atleti. Though, Bayern will completely destroy them but they can destroy every team this season.

      The biggest hurdle between us and a star striker/cb is money, stars wanting to join us has never been an issue

      Their biggest issue with Alvarez, or his with them, as their defensive playing mentality.
      Not many players prefer to play this kind of style which emphasizes defending and keeping a small lead. Someone like Alvarez needs to buy into that ethos to prefer them over other styles.

      And with that in mind Alvarez also left City because he’s position was cemented by Haaland. Simeone has alienated Alvarez by playing him in the same position he left City for.

      At Barca he would play upfront, be a star player and play for a team that plays offensive football, creating many chances so that he can score more.

      Isn’t worth more than 80 mil. He isn’t an elite scorer like our past strikers, just look at his numbers

      We are not even back to a 1:1 financial position yet, and some guys have already started dreaming about doing shit again, which led us into this mess 7 years ago. Were Coutinho, Dembele, and Grizemann sold to us at a lower price cuz they wanted to go to Barca? No, actually they charged us more.

      He’s surely not coming this year, atleti has just been bought from apollo fund, they do have a lot of money and they will be spending it this summer to improve the team so alvarez stays with them. Maybe next summer

      Look, he’s young and proven to be a great player and in a world where mudryk goes for 110 mil i wouldn’t mind getting alvarez here for a 100 mil signing (IF we can afford it)
      Tho i prefer osimhen’s profile.

      Is alvarez really the striker need though ? When I watch him, he always plays better with sorloth next to him. Sorloth is that box present striker and alvarez can just roam freely. We need a box present striker. Can alvarez do that ? Don’t know
