As s Swede I remain absolutely baffled by this appointment. Last season his Elfsborg team with one of the highest budgets in Allsvenskan were the worst team in the league during second half of the season. IIRC they lost 13 of their last 15 games
Everyone was already shocked that he somehow kept his job and Elfsborg fans pretty much unilaterally wanted him gone. Without exaggeration I think he was the worst coach in the whole of Allsvenskan
Perfect example of cronyism in football that he somehow got a Serie A job only because of his history as a player. I just hope he hasn't ruined the chance for actual good Swedish coaches to get opportunities in the future

Now i live in Pisa, noone here know because he is here. In Italy we are full of coaches and Gilardino (the old coach) although he wasn’t doing well the team played good.
It was clear from the beginning of the season: with this players 17th place it would have been a miracle.
They try to call a young manager from a foreign coutry but the situation is getting worse and worse. There was a bit of pride before, now only resignation. You already know that Pisa will play a game without creating any particular chances.
PS. Anyway in Italy newspapers are not talking about this news
Sad to see Pisa relegate this badly, I actually like them! Sacking Gilardino was crazy, if he had stayed I’m sure he would’ve actually had a chance to snatch a 16th place, even if small
