Gotta feel for Declan. The minutes he’s put in and the performances he’s put in this season..

And this is exactly why we should have run away with the league when we had the chance, beaten the likes of Liverpool, Wolves, United, Forest and been 12+ points clear to give us a cushion. We fucked all that and our 6-point lead has evaporated in the space of 8 days. Nobody but ourselves to blame.
I can’t believe we’re now back again where we’re hoping City to drop points like in 23/24. Insane bottle job. Should NEVER have come to this.

Honestly I don’t want to jinx it, but city still have a harder schedule. It’s easier to chase then defence lead.

we are pretty much dead even at this point
city with a game in hand if they win they are with us on points
this last stretch is genuinely a may the best team win type of situation
city has the momentum right now
but i’ll back our boys till the end
ironically if we played the way we did today we’d have probably beaten Bournemouth to be honest

i appreciate the signal, but lets be honest, all this stuff has become lip service. We need “fire”, and all this shit we hear before each game to see no difference on the field. We have hit a wall, especially offensively and today was unfortunately a day with a much needed win, to make a statement. A game that became yet another “what if” moment in the last 6 trophyless years. This team is going to be quite broken finishing 2nd again.

The race has just started! It’s likely to be 70-70 with 5 to play. And it’s exciting.
Although we should have been clear, it’s where we are now. We just need to make zero mistakes now and the performance yesterday gives me more hope today than it did v Bournemouth last week.

We need to cram a Dubai trip somewhere and bring back that form where we empty out stadiums everywhere we go. The only way we win is by smashing teams and some of the teams city will play are fighting hard for a European spot. We must have a +1 GD, because H2H we will lose
Our hardest game will be West Ham if they still haven’t secured survival by then.
If city win every game, we can still win the league. It will take a fucking miracle holy shit. Jarvis bring me more **HOPE**

I hate this crybaby fanbase, we played well enough to get a result. It didn’t happen, support them or continue acting like a victim.

Typical Declan, all talk but where was he today? All I saw was him hiding when it got tough, hiding in the build up phase and Odegaard had to drop so deep to start play.
This is not West Ham, this is Arsenal he should be getting on the ball in the tough situations and being brave on the ball even if that means losing it. That’s what I expect from Rice, all the defensive bs mean nothing cause ultimately he has not won us anything either.

If points are the same between us, is it decided by goal differences or H2H record?
Hawk_KL01 on
Poor Declan had no idea that his career trophy was going to be with west ham.
Arteta pulled out a generational scam on these guys

I gotta say I am impressed by some of your guys positivity after the last few years, and still holding faith they are going to outrun city based on the form of the last month or so.

Some of you are morons honestly (since your fine insulting “negative” people) “back the club to the end or your not a real supporter” but every week is “don’t worry we’re still first” after shit results Man Utd simply because we criticised how SHIT we play and SHIT play will bring about SHIT results
But now because we showed heart against Man City in game wk 33 when they could go level on points with us (instead of when we were 9pts clear) after winning 1 of our last 6 matches we are supposed to be more optimistic than ever before. Fuck off.
Some of us called this, we played shit, got shit results for weeks, now come Wednesday will be 2nd vs an in-form City side that played away at Chelsea, Cup final against Arsenal, home to Arsenal, and cup game against Liverpool and they conceded a whopping 1 fucking goal and score 11. We however scored 4 and conceded 8. Now we need to somehow expect to outscore this in-form City side who are USED to a single pivot and 5 attackers?
Fuck right off. 2nd again.
GoonerYa on
It technically isn’t but if City were already on a streak even before they had a shot at the title, they surely would be more motivated to keep churning results up.
The players who had been here the last 3-4 years are mentally exhausted and some like Saka and White are physically spent. You’ve got quality academy players wanting to leave.
Arteta has already been extended if we read into what Mokbel is saying. That leaves those players the choice of enduring another possible similar season or go find someplace else for a new start.
This will be Phase 7. Dark times ahead.

Im proud at the way the team played today. The issue is that if we played with this intensity and bravery during the run in, the title race would pretty much be over.
Losing at City doesn’t enrage me. Dropping points to Wolves, Forest, and Bournemouth (at home) enrages me.

Winning Bournemouth was more important than winning City. Keep denying and saying it’s not done, we are in a shithole of a mess.
