One of his best performances since Carrick’s appointment. He was so composed on the ball all night.

One of his best performances and I can’t believe he just turned 21
That man who must not be named needs to be tried at The Hague for benching him

The kind of player that exposes people’s knowledge about the game. Doesn’t panic, keeps the ball ticking and takes so much sting out of the opponent’s press. Must’ve been so frustrating for Chelsea players yesterday.

His positional awareness is getting better under Carrick for sure

What a player!
I love Casemiro but I’m looking forward to seeing Mainoo play with more mobile midfield partners next season.
And anyone who only sees sideways and backwards passes here doesn’t know the game.

Just started watching, but very much looking forward to the no-look pass. Icing on the cake for a solid performance for me. Love to see it

I feel he‘s winning his confidence and form back. Incredible what a good run of games can do for a young talent. 😉
He’s so unique to watch, almost like he glides on the pitch.

Browsing the comments on r/ThreeLions the other day about why both Henderson and Scott both deserve to go to the WC more than Mainoo almost gave me an aneurysm. So glad he put in such a big shift last night. MOTM for me. Such an upgrade on Ugarte.

What he did on that one two pass with 1:08 left on the video (where he was fouled) is what I want to see more. He attacks half spaces so well and quickly when he wants to. He keeps the ball tight and can pass it just as quick. That’s his skill set and he needs to utilize it more. He’s extremely gifted in tight spaces. Those are the kind of plays that open up the defense in a split second.

Mainoo is the kind of player that would be invaluable to a pep side. He does this week in week out. Always wants the ball. Fantastic under pressure and his work rate recently has been phenomenal.
We need to set up a team around him that controls games. Watch most highlights on this clip, hes always looking for a way to go forward, and if its not on or he doesnt see it, he has the composure that turns 1 second into 3 seconds on the ball.
God forbid if he came through barcas academy, he would be hailed as the next coming of jesus.

Mature performance from our star boy who recently turned 21, developing nicely man, I enjoy watching him play and we don’t lose that Leeds game if he was fit!

One for the sickos. Hardly a line breaking pass, hardly anything harsher than a polite tackle, and was possibly the best player on the pitch. 😍

Both midfielders looked a bit out of position first half, mainly when we turned the ball over.
Mainoo was good first half, outstanding second half. Much better off the ball than I’ve seen him this season.

His defensive awareness and positioning are definitely getting a lot better under Carrick. Possibly the best coach he could have to address his weaknesses

Lovely player – and still so young.
For those fans who were putting him down for complaining about Amorim leaving him out of the team and forcing him out of the club – questioning his dedication to the club – they should pause and reflect.
He’s one of our own and represents everything that’s good about ManU’s DNA as a club.

He hardly put a foot wrong, and every small spell of control we had revolved around him. We could have done with a couple more Kobbie Mainoos out there really, because a lot of his teammates kept giving the ball away.

Biggest compliment on Mainoo is that the guy does not waste time on the ball. Releases it and keeps recycling it all game no matter the intensity of the game. You move the ball enough with control and things will open up.

The amazing thing about Kobbie for me is just how often he finds himself in about 10 metres of space. His movement and awareness is so underrated. Makes him look like he has all the time in the world in a league which is notoriously short on time

Who would have a thought a young player who has shown class previously just needed faith and game time to start looking good again, I still and won’t ever forgive that absolute cnut amorim who still has his shameful butt buddies infesting forums trying their best to downplay Carrick aswell….
