Guess it’s to create some extra drama for the camera.

Because of EPL and its obsession with narratives and this game has the massive “title decider” narrative.
Arsenal will probably try their hardest to make the game a complete snooze fest and embarrass the PL as a whole but we’ll see what City brings.

Atleast remove the ribbons or make them something neutral like green

Insanely disrespectful, considering there’s like 5 teams still mathematically able to win the league, however unlikely.

It’s gonna be a 0-0 snoozefest eh? XD

I can remember a story coming out after Istanbul, Gerrard (I think) or maybe it was one of the other senior players instructed everyone in the dressing room not to touch the trophy when they walk past it to enter the pitch.
It was thought that touching the trophy before you had actually won it was bad luck and you would never get to touch it again.
As the players were walking out all the Liverpool players did what they were told and none of them touched it. But a bunch of the Milan players gave it a tap on the way past.
It will be interesting to see if the City and Arsenal players touch it.

So fucking idiotic
Although, it will put a ton of pressure on Arsenal so today truly might start the beginning of the bottlejob

Closest Arse will come to the title

I don’t know if any of you have noticed, but ever since the turn of the 21st century, we are one of two teams from the Big 6 who have not successfully defended our title in the season after winning the league trophy (The other team is of course, Arsenal).
Those City, United and Chelsea fans have seen their club win at least two league titles back to back, while we haven’t yet achieved that feat. Maybe we could achieve that in the future under a different playstyle.
