As couple others said here – maybe unfair to level at Tierney. He saw neither in real time – if VAR officials had been consistent and also flagged this one to him he might also have given a red.

I would love love love more transparency on the appeal process, from both sides. What are United saying in their appeal, and are they including material like this? Are they asking for specific clarity on why one was given and one wasn’t, especially when the referee is the same?
And then what is the FA saying to invariably cock it all up and lose whatever morsel of credibility they might have remaining?

Unlike others I did think the Martinez decision was fair, if pulling hair is a red then it’s a red, but this makes a total mockery of that entire concept. The officiating feels like it’s at an all time low

I don’t believe in coincidences but what are the chances Paul and the other muppet Attwell made the same mistake twice with the difference being Paul made it in 2 consecutive games with different teams involved and Attwell made it twice against us. Both should be relegated to the lower leagues and fined. It’s the only way they are gonna make the system work but obviously the system is built on supporting the officials instead of actually correcting their mistakes and making it better for all the teams.
