On the training ground…what about the games? If we can see it, how can he not? He’s playing Osula with 110M sat on the bench (Wissa proven PL striker) how tf can he say they’re “giving it their all”?

  2. I’d say the players try, but the level just isn’t there at the moment, for whatever reason. Tonali was sprinting like crazy even in the 80th, 90th minutes, Livramento looked to me like he was trying. Barnes played poorly, for instance, but it wasn’t a lack of trying, just bad football. We had the same questions 2 years ago and it was fatigue. We’ve played even more this season and I fully believe that it’s not bad attitude, just tiredness and low confidence. Maybe there’s something deeper causing issues — maybe Eddie’s lost the dressing room, maybe the players don’t feel comfortable with the current tactics — but I would need to see some solid evidence before saying that the players don’t care anymore. No one’s said anything bad and I don’t see a lack of commitment on the pitch, just bad and sometimes careless performances.

  3. Some worrying comments said from him after this defeat, really didn’t like the Osula comment about we need more moments like that. Makes me think he has no plan and is just waiting for individual moments of brilliance.

Oh I believe they have the same fire as Howe. I just also believe that fire is finish out the season and spend a month in Spain.

You cannot have any passengers at this level, and unfortunately we’ve had many at various points this season for too long.

Elanga for example has been diabolical. The players must all die inside every time he fucks up a 3 yard pass.

Willock and Wissa have offered nothing.

Trippier and Pope have shat the bed in defence countless times.

We’ve also been missing an air of arrogance in our play, an I think players like Fabi and Bruno bring that in spades and we feel it a lot when they’re missing. I know he’s gone, but Isak had that too.
