I mean whatever happened today feels like a revelation for them.

They finally got a point and looked more alive for most of the game. If the scenario was the other way around im sure it wouldve been considered a huge leap for them

    I wouldnt celebrate that tbh

Half of football is enjoying the misery of others. No matter what happens tomorrow it was so good to see simons crying after that celebration with 13 mins left lmao

  3. Spurs is our consolation prize this year. Let’s hope it’s not the only thing we’re celebrating come years end.

  4. Posted this in response to a concerned Arsenal fan on r/soccer and am bringing it here because I arrogantly believe it bears repeating:

I absolutely agree with the whole pride coming before a fall angle, and I’m not holding out too much hope for a good result tomorrow as it is.

But despite the narratives about how generationally embarrassing we are, we can remind ourselves of the facts that after years of being toe to toe with our despised rivals (complete with very similar spending and the prevailing sentiment that the tide was swinging in Spurs’ favour), we are challenging for the title for consecutive seasons while they’re battling the drop (and slipping in said battle).

If we can’t take enjoyment in that despite having everyone on our cases begging City to ‘save football’ at our expense, I’d just give up being a fan of football to be honest.
