As a player he is bundesliga's 4th highest scorer including back to back golden boots, he is also Monchengladbach's all time top scorer, won 4 bundesligas including 3 in a row, he won UEFA Cup(which is now europa league) and became the first and only player to score a hat trick in a European final until Ademola Lookman also achieved that.
As a mananger he ended Real Madrid's 32 year UCL drought and 11/12 he knocked out arguably what was prime Real Madrid to reach the UCL Final, in 12/13 he coached one of the most dominant team ever, set the bundesliga point record, GD Record, goal conceded record, won the league by 21 points. In the UCL he beat a juve team that started the greatest dynasty in Italian football 4-0 in quarters and a centurion Barcelona team 7-0 in semis with prime messi before going on to beat Klopp's dortmund in the final to lift a historic treble. Not to mention 4 bundesligas as well.
Seriously he's an elite player and a manager, he should be in the same conversations as Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti as a mananger but people just forget he exists

Is he?
He isn’t?
Who underrates Jupp Heynckes?
I still remember chanting „Jupp, Jupp, Jupp, Jupp!!“ back when he was trainer.
He’s still my 🐐
When I think of Bayern he’s one of the first people that pop in my head
What? Never heard that before, he is a legend in german football.
PS: Not to forget the CL win with madrid and still got kicked out, because he did not win the league. A “genius” decision from Sanz. /s
Guy destroyed teams for fun. So happy he came back for part of a season. Guy was phenomenal.
He is not underrated
Underrated?
He was basically the “Who you gonna call?”-coach at Bayern whenever the team was not performing.
Absolute legend.
Bro you got no idea.
Heynckes was an international Star Player that won Bundesliga multiple times as well as UEFA cup, Euro and World Cup.
As a coach he is one of only seven other mangers to win CL with two different teams. He is only 1 out of 9 managers to win the treble.
Granted, he had to endure years and years of hardship as a coach were he could not win any titles with tier 2 clubs.
Besides that, he is a humble and probably the most loyal coach ever on that level. Being pushed out of Bayern for Pep and saving Bayerns ass after Pep left shows his selfless character.
Absolute legend.
He is not underrated in Germany.
Jupp Heynckes is, in my opinion, the best football manager ever, and his Bayern was the best team I’ve ever seen. I don’t remember any other team dominating like that.
