He had that Ronaldinho vibe to him, playing with a smile and joy. Miss Bobby

  2. My absolute favourite player man. His selflessness just to see the team win.
    The flair.
    That big smile.
    The no look goals.
    The fresh gnashers he got.
    The wild celebrations.
The story of him being scouted from FM.
Everything about Bobby Firmino brings me joy.
Absolutely miss a personality like him, especially in our forwards today.

  3. He loved the game and loved to help the team. This is a man whose assist clause was more valuable than his goal scoring bonus.

Bobby Firmino probably inspires the character of Dany Rojas in the Ted Lasso series

  5. He knew every minute he played how fortunate he was/is for sure. That man just loves his family, football and the supporters.

When Bobby left,I was literally in tears. My favourite and what a team player. In Jurgen’s words, the engine of the team.

  7. He was the last true baller in the PL.

Seriously, the man had the fitness and stamina of a modern player but the skill, touch and vision of a bygone era. He made football fun, he shone a light of creativity before it became endless drills and runs and high percentage actions determined by the stat boys.

There’s no stat to tell you how much fun a no look goal is, or how stupid a player looks getting sat on his arse because Bobby has decided he’s going to jink and then jag and at the last minute jink again purely because he can. No laptop guru would ever let a player dribble into three defenders but Bobby would, and he’d fucking score because fuck you he’s Bobby Firmino. Best in the world.

  8. Not so crazy – he was infectiously joyful.

    My favourite of that era

Mad as a box of 🐸s too!

    😃😂

  9. Massively under-rated. Not only is his assist reel better than most goal scoring reels, Klopp’s press relied on Bobby and his intelligence.

Yeah, he seemed like a lovely lad, always smiling and joking with the other players, worked his bollocks off too.

  11. The season when he did a different goal celebration every game he scored was glorious

He was the one with the most team-played attitude. If another player was next to him and on for a hatrick he would pass if that player was with a higher chance of scoring

I loved every minute of watching his play. I don’t think I’ve missed a Liverpool player in recent years as I’ve missed having him on the field

I know this is little off topic but was Firmino great because of Klopp or do we think he would have been great regardless of who was managing him (he did struggle a bit his first year)… I’m just thinking about all those early acquisitions we made and how cheap they were for the talent and how we don’t buy players on the cheap who turn into world beaters anymore… maybe we just got super lucky

Crazy how I had to suffer through post after post back in the day about how this guy was a negative for the team because he wasn’t bagging enough goals.

So many calls to sell him, so many comments saying he’s just a pressing, flair merchant and how we need “a real ST.”

    Finally some respect.

  15. Salah was better, VVD was better, Allison was better but something about Firmino his joy the way he played the position just brought so much joy into our football he was always my favorite of the Klopp era

Not crazy at all, he was brilliant! The only thing that let him down was goals, but that was only because he was busy creating goals or vacating space for others. Has to be one of the most selfless players ever. And he had skills too. Loved Bobby.

  17. Remember how Mane used to copy his celebration? And the banter between them ❤️

  18. Still, to this day, maybe my favourite Liverpool player ever.

A joy to watch, worked his fucking socks off, skills to die for, and his sheer enthusiasm was SO. BLOODY. INFECTIOUS.

God we had it so good, didn’t we
