He also added:

"While I admit it's Como's main problem; I think media focusing too much on us while ignoring the other teams. Milan for example, one the biggest clubs in Italy, only has like what? A few Italians as well? And none of them even play for Italy now. Again, Como has this problem but other teams also have this problem as well, it's not just us."

"It's also a problem with payments and payment methods; buying abroad is different, you can pay in different installments. When we had the opportunity, we signed Belotti on a free transfer, for example. But again, at the end of the day it all depends how you adapt to the coach's style."

"We hope to see the fruits of our investments within the next five years that's for sure, and hopefully more Italian youths could flourish in this project."

  1. I just don‘t like this club man. They feel so soulless. When Atalanta started getting better it was refreshing to see but Como? Nah

What a dumb comment by the president. What about younger, cheaper Italian players? There aren’t any? I’ve heard a lot of this: Italian players are too expensive. U-21s? U-19s?

  3. Como isn’t going to have a long life span. They will just keep buying players. Their youth system is nothing special.

We have Barte and Ricci as our main Italians at the moment.

Both will be part of the team for a long time sooner than later

  5. I agree, they are doing something incredible with no great player, media obv focus on things that give them more selling

  6. I really don’t understand why clubs get heat for this. Is there some treasure trove of outstanding Italian players that are getting passed over for foreigners, or are the foreigners just the best players available?

  7. What? Italy only has 4 players?

They could have bought young italian players for half of what they spent on Jesus Rodriguez.

    Baldanzi, Doumbia, Folorunsho, Casadei.

Younger names like Alphadjo Cissé, Liberali, Venturino, Idrissi.

Fabiano Parisi shouldn’t be expensive anyway.

Or do they make their scouting reports based on Transfermarkt values and a bankable name and that’s it?
