I rate EH very highly. But I feel it might be best for both EH and Newcastle for a change?

  2. Yep. I still believe he’ll come good. It’s been a disappointment this season, but I have patience for another season.

  3. Its all media nonsense at the end of the day but I want Eddie to be as angry as we are. I want this to bring out his angry side, nice guys never make it to the top, top teams have players that fear their manager, respect, but fear putting in a bad shift or making the same fuck ups over and over. The only way we are getting out of this is anger and fear.

Good, hope that actually holds up into the summer and isn’t just something to get us over the line. I can’t bring myself to turn on the guy, not this season with all the chaos we had in the summer. I’ll judge it less sentimentally next season if we continue to be poor.

Start playing some of your strikers instead of wantaway golden boy as a centreforward.

I don’t see anyway we get someone better in the summer he deserves another season

  7. Andy Howe was promoted out of recruitment and to a “senior football executive” job yesterday. Make of that what you will.

Good, next 6 games are huge for our future. Let’s get behind him and the team and help them turn it around

  9. I don’t doubt Eddie’s energy, but he needs to convey that to the players and that’s not really what’s happening. He’s been amazing for us, but he needs to do something different to make the team work again.

  10. Yeah they have to say that now as he isnt going to be sacked before the end of the season. This is always going to be the message, but if the project is serious then being the worst team that isnt in a serious relegation battle isn’t acceptable.

    A – I thought we had a ban on Romano? Guy’s a turd.

B – I think it’s obvious Howe will stay the rest of the season minimum, and this quote seems more like affirmation of that, and that he wants to stay on longer. Whether or not the board decide to stay with him is an entirely different matter.

I’m fine with him staying under 2 conditions.

    1. He stays out of recruitment. He’s allowed to name players he likes as any manager should, but the DoF and board pick the actual transfers. He gets no actual decision making on who we buy or what we spend.

    2. He stops this Gordon at striker experiment. I don’t care about your tactics, if you honestly look at Wissa, Woltemade, and Osula and conclude an out of position Gordon is your best striker option you need to have your head examined. Cool Gordon converts pens. He can still take those playing LW.

As shit as the past few months have been, can’t lie nothing would make me more happy than to win more with Eddie. Hopefully there is still room for him to evolve as manager and he doesn’t need Isak like striker to make his ideas work

Well so far the season has been a forest fire and Howe’s been done for arson.

  15. I’m over the moon about this. He’s been our best PL era manager in my opinion and has earned longer time here. Onwards and upwards 👆

  16. Fortunately it’s not solely in his hands. Not saying I defo want him gone, but I don’t defo think he should stay either.

  17. Is the Howe camp paying Romano to run interference now? Do not worry his imaginary “fire” will catch the cold breeze of half-time reality tomorrow afternoon.
