As a self proclaimed stadium enthusiast I get quite annoyed whenever I continue to see all these articles and posts about how Italy could lose the rights to host the competition because its stadiums aren't ready. Before starting I wanna shout-out the goats in the skyscrapercity forums where there are many threads and discussions about each single stadium with recent pics of the ones under construction/renovation. Here are the English and Italian threads about the competition:

And this is a general page in Italian where you can find discussions about each single stadium:

But just search for "X stadium skyscrapercity", in italian or English and you will find a goldmine

But now, here's the recap. Italy needs 5 stadiums over 40k capacity and it currently only has the Juventus stadium ready, but there are also:

-Stadio Olimpico Rome (70k): Just needs a minor redeveloping

-Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence:(40k): as you know the redevelopment work has started since last year

The 4th spot should go to Milan, where the teams bought the stadium and works should begin in the upcoming years

For the 5th and last spot there are a couple of cities fighting for it:

Rome: Rome new stadium (67k) no chance of it being used in euro 2032 but work should start in the upcoming years

Salerno (30k): minor work already started

Cagliari (30k): work should start in the upcoming years

Palermo(30-40k): there is still no complete final project but they have huge financial backing

Genoa has minor chances but they have just presented their project

Bari, Verona and Bologna (which had an interesting project but the club, not the evil Italian bureaucracy, backed off) are basically out of the race

Then there is the Napoli situation, where the city has presented a project for the renovation of the Maradona but the club doesn't support it. They still have some chances tho

Other minor (<30k of capacity) stadium renovations:

Taranto: going to get inaugurated this year

Venice: going to get inaugurated in 2027

In Ascoli and L'Aquila the stadium is under renovation, they are getting a new stand

Minor works (getting a roof basically) for Lecce and Perugia

Padua has inaugurated the new stand but their stadium is still a shithole

Arezzo has an interesting project and work could start at the end of this season

Como and Empoli have projects but still in the bureaucratic process

Cittadella has just built two new stands near the pitch and has plans to rebuild the main stand

There are plans in Catanzaro to rebuild a stand

If I remember other projects I'll edit
