Even if we aren’t basing it on form alone, I don’t see how this is the case. I’m not saying Bowen is better than Saka, but, his numbers don’t exactly disprove that.

And yes, I know Saka started as a RB, but so what, he’s been an attacker for a long time, and Saka is playing with “world class” players, and also has 11 more penalty goals than Bowen.

I’m not saying Saka shouldn’t go to the WC, but how is Bowen even if doubt when he not only this season, is out performing the nailed on starter.

The fact Madueke is being touted as the number 2 baffles me. Yes, Bowen hasn’t done much in an England shirt; but it’s difficult when you only have about 15 minutes per game on average.

Here’s hoping our Captain rightfully gets his WC spot.

The craziest thing is this isn’t even bowens best season and for most of this season he’s played with a terrible team around him

  2. Pretty sure it’s only West Ham fans who think Bowen is better than Saka lol. Don’t get me wrong, Bowen should absolutely go to the World Cup because he’s miles better than Madueke. But Saka is just better than Bowen and no amount of stats will change it. Also Saka better fits the way England play/want to play simply because he’s used to playing for a team that has the ball.
