If he’s not 100% committed he can leave. The same goes with any other player. 🤷🏻‍♂️

  2. The way he’s been playing recently that has seemed obvious, though you’d think he’d want to be impressing potential teams.

We’re all open to it too, don’t forget to take your motivational books with you.

3 open play premier league goals since January 2025 is diabolical. The league is your bread and butter.

Stick him on the bench, start Barnes and see if we can get a functioning system around Big Nick in these next 6 games.

  5. Of course he is, his whole game is engineered around himself.

Standard model applies. Double whatever we paid and start bidding there.

I do not care if he goes. As long as we make our money off him, we can ship him. He’s got the talent, but by god is he wasteful as hell. I feel he kills many attacks by choosing the wrong shot or pass, he is just so wasteful in attack. However, we will miss his directness if Howe is still the manager.

Howe made him into a great player, he still has flashes but now he’s fell off a cliff in terms of form. He’s only 25 and we can stick the classic England tax on him for the clubs allowed to dodge FFP.

Honestly I would rather see Gordon go than Tonali.

A new look front 3 might be needed but getting someone more creative and a bigger goal threat on the left and right (akin to Doku and Cherki) would be great.

Play with Wolte or play Wissa in behind/tap-ins from the by-line.

Thanks for the memories Gordon but take your shit haircut to Germany 👍🏾

  9. Well yeah. We can scam someone else by selling him for double what we bought him for.

  10. I don’t see Bayern paying anywhere near what he’s worth I really hope he doesn’t become a cunt trying to push it through

I could see him in a red Bayern shirt tbh but based on what I saw last night he might even be a bit lightweight for the Bundesliga these days.

  12. For me, he’s given us one good season (23/24) and he’s been massively inconsistent in every other season. His stats look good this season because he’s been taking the pens (when Woltemade should arguably have been taking them).

Considering how poor he was when he joined us and the player we turned him into, I find it fucking baffling that he ‘thinks he’s outgrown’ us. If anyone’s stupid enough to come in with a £75m+ bid, I’d have him away straight away.

  13. Hallelujah. One of the most unlikable players in this team at the moment personally.

Dives so much, it embarrasses me. Zero end product and his stats only really look good because of the pens.

Runs fast but only when he can be arsed. Worst mentality player who sulks if we are down and never lifts up the team when the things are going tough.

And so selfish it’s infuriating. Would complain if a player doesn’t pass him the ball but never passes if he has a slight sight for goal.

We need a new dimension on our wings besides fast players that does nothing else.

Blows my mind that people call Almiron a purple patch but not Gordon.

  14. He wants paying in line with his perceived value, he’s considered a 100 million player so he wants compensation to that effect, like many others, when you check our team the 11th most valuable squad at 700 million or so there will be a lot of players now looking to be recompensed to the level of that value.

Unfortunately that’s how FFP and SCR work be wise it means if you have valuable players they will always want paying at those levels and you won’t be able to afford the wages eventually and will have to sell.

That’s how the septics have the advantage and until we build the infrastructure and get the financial benifit we are going to see more of the same.

So we might as well benefit from banking as much as we can for them especially if they can’t be arsed to play anyway.

  15. Princess_Mononope on

Be glad to see the back of him tbh.

His camp have obviously leaked this intentionally the day after the Bayern reports. He’s a selfish character on and off the pitch.

  16. getgoodflood on

Call me delusional but he won’t be a big miss. His goal output isn’t elite. Danny Murphy rightfully said yesterday on Talksport that he’s surprised by Bayern’s interest because he’s not on par with their players.

£80m and we sell. Put Elanga as backup to Barnes and sign a a class RW.

  17. TheKnightsRider on

Look forward to his inability to find the player 100% more likely to score and blazing over the bar from 19 yards for someone else.

    Will drive him myself

  18. Looked like he downed tools against Palace tbh, this summer we need to get rid of the pricks who don’t want to be here.

  19. Gloomy-Bumblebee-675 on

Far too inconsistent for us to be too cut up about this. In fact, his insistence that he wants to play up front eventually, and Eddie’s deployment of him as such, has actually hindered us.

  20. I get why he gets hate from some sections, but I will be sad to see him go (although I do think we should sell). He may be a bit of an idiot at times but he’s got a pretty rare skillset and willingness to run at players, and although he’s been inconsistent this season I don’t think it’s fair to say he hasn’t put the effort in for the club since he joined. He’s developed a lot as a player (and a person) which suggests he works hard in training (and there’s never been any suggestion he’s out partying too much or anything).

And maybe I’m watching different games to everyone, but I do see him put a shift in most games, at least when he’s not knackered. Compared to basically every other winger I’ve seen he presses and tracks back an incredible amount.

And finally he’s been expected to play out of position with seemingly no complaints.

Anyway I’ll stop there, just figured someone should make the case for the defence. I think he’s been a very solid player for the club and I’ll wish him well if we can make a decent profit on him.

  21. At the end of the article it says Wissa or Woltemade also thought to be moved on.

Honestly I have no idea how that’s possible. How could you possibly sell Wissa? He hasn’t played at all. And we over paid significantly. Who would come in to buy him? Woltemade might have some actual value but it’s not going to be anywhere near what we spent on him.
Surely these guys are in the squad next season. Very rarely can you ever just resell a player after one year

  22. PineConeTracks on

It’d be a shame to see him go as I really like him but I’d much rather we sold him than Bruno or Tonali.

  23. Good player that thinks he’s better than he actually is

Anything around the ballpark of 60 mil and he can go
