The reason our highline has been exposed is very simple. We are tired.
A highline only works when the midfield and forward line are pressing the other team, we have been very slow in the pressing, even more apparent with Raphinha missing.
And the reason is our players are tired its very easy to see, we have had a lot of injuries and we have a very thin bench due to the fact we have made next to no investments since Flick came.
Trust me, if this summer we are back to the 1:1 Laporta is gonna make some serious investments, unlikely that we will sign nailed on starters because our first 11 is already world class and hard to improve, but our bench depth will be improved and THAT is what will take us to the next level.

I think we stay unbeaten with two draws. The Osasuna and Getafe away games are going to be tricky. From a season perspective, I consider it a success and a “what might have been”. Flick has done wonders with this young and limited squad. Back him this season during the transfer season and we will have a genuine chance at winning the UCL next season

Tbh, last year was our best shot with this squad, with lewandowski has dipped massively, raphinha is missing, inigo gone, this season the expectation wasn’t as high as the last but what really pains me is that we lost two trophies to specifically atletico, and even if the cdr one was understandable, can’t digest losing to them in ucl like this. But still, winning the league despite all the corruption against us is a massive success in my book. We need some big reinforcements in the squad for us to be ucl contenders next season too.

I say it’s been a very successful couple of seasons.With the squad dept we have me and many other people were surprised that we managed to reach ucl semi final in his first season.
So the expectations were high this season.But we have to realistic.We don’t have squad dept to compete for ucl.
We literally played this season without a proper striker.And it is needless to say we need a few defenders as well.We don’t have a back up left winger for Raphinha.
To be very honest,the team that we have is an mid tier team.But Flick made this team a team that everyone considers a contenders for ucl.I firmly believe even Pep Guardiola would have failed with this Barca team.

I still consider it a W season overall. Two disgraceful matches were called that weren’t the players’ or coaches’ fault, and the world witnessed them. Yes, we can improve, but we need a good pacey CB and a forward who is more consistent than our current lineup. At least, everything else is good for next season. or what do you guys think.
