      the first time Isak and Eki played together vs Gala, Ekitike went off injured

      This happened again.

      Devestated for him, not been the best couple months for him but a WC is something a lot of players dream about, France certainly one of the favourites too.

      Hopefully he will make a good recovery and find his form when he’s back, help us and France get to the Euros.

      Our options for the front three are so thin next year. We need two successful signings who can hit the ground running. This is our depth for the first 6 months. It is dire.

      Wirtz (nice touches but still not shown he can be particularly productive)

      Isak (injury prone, never shown anything for usso far)

      Chiesa (injury prone)

      Gakpo (terrible)

      Frimpong (not a winger, but also not a fullback)

      Rio (17)

      9 months is very hopeful and I’m taking this as a blessing. If it’s a full rupture, it’ll be 12-15 months.

      Well…in comes Jayden Danns in pre season and next season. Heki seems mentally strong, he will be back. He can go for 2 more World Cups

      Poor Hugo. Easy to say he’s young and has more chances at a World Cup but you just never know

      return to unrestricted training: 7 months on average

      return to competitive play: 9 months on average

      but the worst of all is that several studies done on football players came to the conclusion that return to pre-trauma fitness and quality levels can take more than 2 years and even then played minutes are lower.

      Very sad for him. Needs to be mentally very strong to deal with this.
      For us, uncertain times ahead. Mo leaving, Isak still finding his feet again, Rio being immensely talented but still very raw, Gakpo being Gakpo..
      UCL qualification a must..
      We could do with some luck

      Poor guy. He finally gets called up to the French national team and basically guaranteed to play at the World Cup only for this to happen. Best of luck to him.
