[Pearce] It surprises me that this is still to be introduced. Bereaved families should not have to fight and campaign for the truth about how their loved ones lost their lives.” Arne Slot criticises UK Government over ongoing failure to pass the Hillsborough Law.

  1. The Government faffed around with an exception for the security services. Obviously that pleases nobody and now they’re leaking to the Times newspaper that they’ll drop that clause, and give the campaigners what they’re asking for.

As usual, this government does what the people want, but in a way that still annoys them.

    Well said Arne Slot.

He may have got a lot wrong tactically, but morally he is a good man and understands the sensitivity of this tragedy.

Arne’s a good egg. Still think the club needs to try something new, managerially, but I’ll never dislike the guy. Justice for the 97 – yesterday, today, tomorrow, and forever.

Good Arne. I can’t bring myself to actually dislike you, I may hate your style of football, but this is the kind of thing someone should be judged on.

Maybe this is a bit out of ignorance, but why is this such a big deal? I understand that it’s hurtful for people to hear their loved ones talked about like this, but why do they think it needs to go as far as legally punishing others for pushing a false narrative? Is that the right solution? If so, why?

Government are only out to make sure there are loopholes in the law for the people in higher positions to exploit. It’s a disgrace.

I’m not a fan of his management style but time and time again he proves that he’s a class bloke.
