Wow so Neville really is just a cancer now. I held out hope that he might be less shite of a pundit at some point, but spending that amount of money for a personality like Goldbridge is just confirmation that he’s actively leaning into generating bottom-feeding rage bait.

When he first went into punditry he was genuinely brilliant. Nuanced and thoughtful analysis which elevated him (and Carragher) above the usual guff from former players.

This comes as no surprise to anyone. He’s long seen the success of degenerate channels like AFTV and has always been jealous of the amount of media control they now hold over the traditional network broadcasters.

Remember when they all collectively tried to kill off and cancel fan channels a decade ago? He failed at it and since then created his own fan channel in a bid to get a piece of that juicy pie.

Now he’s taken over the equivalent of United’s AFTV and it’s become strikingly clear why he’s been such an imbecile during commentaries on United games, negativity sells and he knows it.

There was a time when I was younger where I liked Goldbridge a lot, circa 2019-2022. I thought he had great analysis, I loved his post-game reactions and a lot of the jokes he would make on stream. His friendship with the terminally-illegal United fan was something that really touched my heart

Then I started to see his true colours. It started with small things that I just brushed off, stuff like him hiring Paul “Scouse Bastard” Ince. After that it was things that are more morally dubious, like him shilling for the Qatari slave owners takeover. As I grew older, I unsubscribed and stopped watching them

TUS benefits off creating specific, often unjustified agendas against players. The most notable one was De Gea, with people like Beth creating a narrative that he was a terrible GK, that he wasn’t really all that good for us throughout even his early years, and that his purchase was a mistake from the start. Then it became more and more egregious. His agenda against Bruno, the literal heartbeat of the team, was just too much for me

There are players who deserve genuine criticism. Maguire in the first couple of years of his tenure, Antony for most of his time, and Ugarte now. But TUS also targets the players that truly give their all for the team, that bleed for the shirt, simply because of their C-tier analysis.
