Former **Liverpool** and **Paris Saint-Germain** midfielder **Georginio Wijnaldum** is keen to make a return to the Premier League next season when his contract in the Saudi Pro League expires this summer.
The 35-year-old has no plans to retire and still feels he has a lot to offer, having scored 14 goals and provided six assists for Al Ettifaq this season.
As things stand, his priority is a return to playing in England, although no decision has yet been made about his future.
Wijnaldum played 237 times for Liverpool over five seasons, winning the Premier League and Champions League, before leaving to join PSG in 2021.
He has spent the last three seasons at Al Ettifaq.

Wouldn’t it be more likely that he return to Eredivisie, esp PSV

Love Gini, one of the most underrated players of his generation

To be fair he’s still a decent player. People just assume that anyone who goes to Saudi Arabia is completely useless which isn’t true.

Only if he gets a buzz cut.

I think that ship has sailed due to his age, but a shame as he’s having a good season right now

Can we bring him on at half time against PSG?

100% one of the newly promoted teams from the championship will take a punt on Gini.

I reckon a newly promoted team will happily have him play as a centre forward

Every bottom half team would take him. He can’t be tackled.
