Everyone has been up in arms on the mirage that we were first in position and we all know it only matters at the end of matchday 38.

I am still of the complete belief that we’ll win this league. It won’t be pretty (although that goes without saying after watching us this season), it’ll get criticised, but I don’t care

Whether we win or lose this might be my last season watching football, this team is genuinely exhausting.

It’s still in our hands and we have had good form at times this season. Only two I can think of myself as the team have been awful lately and city are playing well. Now or never the team needs to step up

In my opinion, it makes more sense to be optimistic than sink into doom and gloom. There is nothing to be gained from the latter, despite what some would prefer you to believe.

showing underlying numbers for the match we just lost is an interesting choice because clearly those underlying numbers mean fuck all lmao

I’ll say this much. Last 2 seasons, at the very beginning of the season, i felt we wouldn’t make it (this is 23/24 and 24/25) no matter how positive it looked, just a gut feeling. This season, from the very beginning, i felt it’s ours. Even now, when it seems really dire, i don’t feel nervous or anxious. Just gotta believe.

I need a response. Against Sporting and against City. I want the players and manager to convince me that they can do this!

it won’t be pretty, but after 22 years, it’s like doing it for the first time again. And everyone’s first time is awkward and messy.

Completely numb to hopium right now. Not gonna sit around crying that it’s over before it’s actually over but also need to see actual signs of life before I have any optimism.

I have lost my belief. Sporting will also come to the Emirates with full belief that they can pull something off.
Arteta is too rigid as a coach, other teams have had us figured out for about a year now and the poor quality in build up play translates to a defence that now always feels under pressure.
I wish I was more confident but I have been watching since Wenger’s first double season and this is one of the worst teams on the eye.

There are two things there (of course there are some injury stuff but most of teams have to deal with that) I think: 1) our tactic system is figured out better by our opponents and we don’t have too much to offer in Plan B 2) players and coach have been tense for a while and we started losing confidence for quite some time. If the early-season game against NewCastle is a trend-changing to the right direction, I would say the 2nd half is turning back to the wrong direction, despite a few mini-rebounds.
It is NOT about our fans panic or not; now, it is really about the coach and the players. Literally, you could feel the stress building up, and many of them fear the loss and sort of losing the fun of playing football.

It is not just the results, it’s the performances as well. If it’s just results then we wouldn’t be this deflated, man.

If we beat City on Sunday, it would probably be our second biggest Premier League win ever. The biggest being Old Trafford 2002 to win the title. That’s the size of the task for us this weekend.
Nothing this team has done over the past few years suggests it can win a game of this magnitude at this point of the season. We live in hope but I think it’s inevitable that we play for a draw and get burnt.

There is nothing gained from getting down on the team. Yes we have problems. They’re not going to be addressed before the end of the season. You want us to win, then the only thing to do is get behind the boys.

A lot of comments made about our playstyle are inaccurate, misleading, unfair, disingenuous or even outright lies. But on Sunday I want us to become the team they think we are, to play the dirtiest haramball in existence, to frustrate them at every opportunity, have them absolutely seething at the sight of us. We’ve lost our margin for error imo, just win by any means necessary. We almost did it last year with a worse team than this. Fucking believe.

What are the chances that Arteta has learned from Carabao final loss and will suddenly pivot towards playing a different style of football to upset ManCity in the rematch?

5 reasons as our tactics is peak:
– Slow passing, no urgency.
– Backward passing and sideways passing.
– Counter-attack as our attackers making runs? F…U…We pass sideways and backward.
– Taking more risk within our own box than opponent box because god knows why.
– Waste time in throw-ins, even if we’re losing. This is peak IQ and logical thinking.

We’re still first, that gives me enough reason to believe
I think the worrying part of this, is that Aretata has likely read these stats and others, and will believe the loss to Bournemouth was unlucky (which somewhat yes) rather than a fundamental flaw with the team

Pin this post!!! People calling for Arteta to be sacked are mad. We are 6 points ahead with the title in our hands… and honestly that bournemouth was just a few favourable margins away from us picking up points. Come together, now it is more important than ever!!!

I suspect that Arteta “trusting the process” too much (aka the numbers) is part of what’s gotten us into this peculiar position of likely being the 1st team to 4peat 2nd place finishes in football (Bills did it in the pigskin/hand-egg version). I hope the numbers finally win out this season, but my heart is scared/very heavy.

you can take solace that it is Pep we are up against. we are the underdogs.
We have no achievements and any trophies if we were to win them this season is a bonus not an expectation.
