    Can bring in Araujo, Ferran, and Bernal around the 60th minute for Olmo/Rashy, Balde(if he's unfit) and FDJ (doubt he can go the full 90)

    Lewandowski and Ferran both lose pretty duels pretty much all the time so at least Olmo will be able to create something in tight spaces with Fermin and Rashy getting inside.

    I dont see the point in starting Kounde or Araujo at RB when we all know Atlético will have the entire population of madrid marking Yamal so having Cancelo in there would help him out and hopefully free some space for our other attackers. That's the key to winning imo. overwhelm their left side with Yamal and Cancelo and inshallah 🙂‍↕️

    I think we'll concede no matter what with any backline Flick uses so our best chance is to have Balde in there for the counters and to just hope and pray Eric and Joan Garcia to put on an all timer.

      Who in this team is a consistent finisher? I know even our strikers have finishing issues but they’re better than Rashford or Olmo up front, you know atleti are gonna park the bus so finishing is crucial

      You lost everyone at Balde. Also I think Lewa should prove this game that he deserve another year.

      I would take Olmo out and play Ferran there. Also have Gavi play in Fermin’s spot for pressing. Gavi is the closest thing we have that can press and allow Pedri and De Jong to focus more on the creative side of things.

      Balde isn’t starting.It’s most probably going to be Cancelo in left back and Kounde in right back.

      It will be Ferran/Lewa starting with Olmo behind. We need a striker and that striker needs service.

      Also Balde and Cancelo should not start together. Probably at the end if we want to throw a Hail Mary

      Me gusta esa alineación. Actualmente no confío en el 9 sea Lewa/Ferran. Olmo si está concentrado es más peligroso, espero que juegue bien.

      I agree with the lineup except if change cancelo with balde and put kounde at rb. I think that first half in the league game against atleti we cooked having olmo up top(also last part of the game against Espanyol on Saturday). That pass and go play with him and Fermin and lamine was cooking and sorry shark I love you but you’re not good at that just at positioning. Cancelo and rashford also have a good thing going together too. Then lewa second half for headers if it comes to it.

      Its wild to me the lack of faith people have in kounde and ferran but that Balde does seem to skate by in a year where his best has been average and his worst has been borderline bad.

      Im not saying this lineup doesnt fuck—it does—but cancelo combines with rashford better than anyone else on the roster and, regardless of form, im taking kounde’s veteran leadership against a pressurized atleti fixture every time.

      I don’t think we should have both Rashford & Cancelo with Cubarsí out and Gerard Maldini halfway injured…I feel like he’ll have to do either Balde/Rashford or Cancelo Gavi on that side. I know it sounds weird but if not then he’ll have to do Cancelo Eric, Araujo, Kounde but then if DeJong isn’t ready for a full 90 Eric might be starting. I dunno… Everyone is expecting Cholo to park the bus but I think he’s gonna try to actually play at least until he feels his 2-0 lead threatened.

      I like Cancelo at RB to support Yamal. Would opt for Kounde over Eric at CB. He may be undersized through the middle, but that’s not an issue against Alvarez. Might still start Eric at DM depending on de Jong’s fitness level after the injury.

      I would prefer a 4-3-1-2

      Balde as LB – need Cancelo elsewhere, plus only one of Cancelo or him can go up, we need to protect those wings

      Garcia and Martin as CBs – Haven’t got much options other than Araujo anyways

      Kounde at RB – given his good connection with Yamal, plus his experience..

      Cancelo at LM – More like one of the 3 mids,but stretched out…Having Yamal and him both at one end would make attack skewed to one side, honestly easy to defend for a team especially like Atletico, rather this will allow to spam crosses from both end…

      Pedri as CM – obvious choice, preferably on Yamal’s side, for those through passes..

      FDJ as CM/CDM – to be that pivot and bring somewhat a stability to defense..

      Fermin in first half and Olmo in second as CF/SS/False 9 – Just for their attacking output, especially long rangers… Also Olmo seems to perform better in second half, this also helps tackle the toothless striker issue..

      Then Rashford at LW and Yamal at RW – since only these two upfront, it also let’s them overlap to the inside when needed…
